Introduction to Galleries
Galleries by Direqt is a hosted platform that provides mobile operators with the ability to build dynamic and compelling discovery for chatbots on their network using RCS Business Messaging. It is a complete solution powering a rich discovery experience that subscribers encounter from within their default messaging application.
With Galleries, mobile operators can:
- Drive adoption of chatbots through rich and compelling promotions in the default messaging app;
- Monetize the directory by selling preferred placements to businesses who wish to be featured predominantly;
- Gain insight into subscriber preferences and behaviors with detailed reporting information.
- Deploy different galleries to different subscribers, based on location, language preference, or other factors.
Galleries powers what in the industry is often called "an RCS directory", but it is important to note that it is not a replacement for existing operator infrastructure, such as CDF, CIF, or MaaP functionality. Rather, Galleries leverages the operator's existing infrastructure, and focuses exclusively on promoting new RCS conversations.
Galleries is a fully-hosted solution that requires no changes to an operator's infrastructure.
About this documentation
This documentation is intended to help network operators understand how Galleries works, and provides specific information on configuring, deploying, and managing the solution. For the most part, all product functionality is accessible from the Direqt Console, and it will be assumed that you have already been provided with appropriate login credentials.
Note that some functionality, especially related to sponsorships and optional integrations, may vary slightly from operator to operator. So don't panic if what you see here doesn't match exactly what you see when you log into the Console!
